Julia Terry

   Cause of her death was Liver cancer.

  General Notes:

When julia had her last child, Edward she was in hospital with "white leg" presumably some sort of thrombosis. The cure in those days was to break the leg and re-set it! This was done but the leg did not heal properly so they did it again and Julia was in hospital for many months.
Edward was sent home to Richard who fed him evaporated milk, he was a fat baby.
Kathleens mother (Ethel) was eight years old and had to look after Richard who was five. When at school Ehtel heard a teacher say that they looked dirty so Ehtel made Richard stand in the bath and she scrubbed him from top to bottom.
Julia had diabetes for the later part of her life- controlled through diet. Since her leg had been broken she could not walk very well. She taught Kathllen to read and write, knit and sew long before Kathllen went to school.

Julia married Richard Gransden, son of Richard Gransden and Phillis Elizabeth Goodwin, in Dec 1884 in Medway, Kent, England.⁵³⁹ (Richard Gransden was born on 11 Oct 1859 in Stockbury, Kent, England ³⁹⁸ and died in 1947.). The cause of his death was Old age.
