The McLennan family ended up in Chile when Andrew was a boy. Andrew's father was a Scottish banker.
Andrew was sent back to Scotland to complete his education, at this stage his first language was Spanish.
During WW1 Andrew was a member of the Military Polic branch of the Royal Australian Army. Andrew claimed to have been a Colonel in the Royal Chilean Army, but Keith and margaret have not been able to substantiate this claim, yet. Among his possessions were two army swords whichAndrew claimed were from his Chilean ceremonial uniform.
There wer no children born to this marriage.
Keith and Margaret do not know what became of andrew, if he died or if he and Dolly divorced.
