(3) Obituary....The sudden promotion to Glory of Colour Sergeant Bert Price has taken a valuable soldier from Semaphore. He was the man whose life story was featured as a War Cry serial under the title "The Prey of Justice", by Major Adealide Ah Kow (R). At the age of 78 years he was still regular in open air warfare and at indoor meetings, always ready with a stirring testimony to the the grace and power of God. Brother Price had been converted in 1941, following a contact by the late Major Fischer, during hotel booming with the War Cry. The funeral and memorial services were conducted by Major G.Jackson (C.O.) In the latter service Retired Treasurer Morris, Envoy Bottrill, Sister Pam Johnson and Songster Leader Watters of Thebarton expressed tributes. Mr Tom Price, a son, told of his fathers changed life and Bandmaster Whitehead sang.
