!N.S.W.BDM Index Birth #26371-1886 (2) Obituary....The death occurred in hospital at Orange on Sunday last of a life long resident of Manildra in the person of Mrs.Edith Evelyn Ford, wife of Mr.Herbert Ford of Orange Street, Manildra. Deceased had suffered ill health for several years past and over the last few months her condition had gradually worsened, necessitating her entering hospital. Despite constant medical and nursing aid she gradually became weaker and passed away on Sunday last. She was the member of a pioneering local family; the Cole family. Her parents being the late William Cole and Mrs.Cole of Orange Street, the latter now being an inmate of Molong Hospital after residing for a time in the city. The late Mrs.Ford was born at Lockwood 69 years ago but has resided in Manildra the greater part of her life. She was of a quiet retiring disposition and devoted to her husband and family and despite her own ill health ahe had been in constant attendance on her husband who has not enjoyed the best health for the past few years. The interment took place in the Baptist portion of Meranburn Cemetary on Monday, Rev.Brice Hinds officiating at the service. Left to mourn her loss are three sisters Mesdames Hettrick and M.Cassell (Sydney) and E.Staines (Molong); and her husband H.J.Ford and a family of three daughters and three sons; Alma (Mrs.Atkinson), Valerie (Mrs.Davidson,Sydney), and Irene (Mrs.Geo.Johnson,Manildra); Messrs Harold (Bathurst), Leslie and Raymond (Sydney).
