A public telephone installed three weeks ago in Prospect-road was appreciated, members told Garden
Suburb Progress Association.
The Secretary (Mr. B. Campbell) said it was the only telephone in the suburb. Private applicants were
waiting for installations. The association had been asking for the telephone for two years. Lake Macquarie Shire Council vwill be asked to meet a deputation in Marshall-street to discuss how to get the best value for the £200 allocated to form part of thie street.
Messrs. S. Patner, J. Kinsella, R. Sparke, B. Campbell and the President (Mr. A. Brownjohn) were
appointed.
