Late they made another move hoping to relieve Stan's symptoms, they moved to Smithfield, and lived in a house Stan had inherited from his mother.

After the death of Stan Marjorie and her daughter Evelyn travelled via ship to Brisbane. Marjorie purchased a Newsagency, with housing attached. The Newsagency was previously run and owned by her sister Doris. The pharmacy next door was run by Marjories brother in law Bill Condie- wife of Doris. shorly after this move Mabel Lockwood also moved to Brisbane.
