Died at the age of 15 (In a speech given by Win Scoble at a Balcomb family reunion on 14/8/76, she said that she was 15)
On the registration of her death, her mother was listed as Elizabeth. Her real mother was in fact Alice who had died at the age of 36 in 1854.
In a letter written by her sister Hannah to Mrs West on 2nd August 1945, she said that "My sister Alice died the time of the epidemic of Dipetheria(sic)."
