Alfred married Caroline Cole, daughter of William Cole and Caroline Matilda Field, on 10 Apr 1877 in Molong, NSW, Australia. (Caroline Cole was born on 5 Jan 1861 in Little Hartley, NSW, Australia and died on 6 Jul 1945 in Yeoval, NSW, Australia.)
