(1a) Birth Transcription born Merri Merri Creek, District of Coonamble. Informant was the father James Carter of the Junction Hotel, Merri Merri Creek. Previous issue are 6 Males and 4 Females living and one male deaceased.
Died during the cole strike. Minners wanted more money and shorter hours. Alfred Carter worked in the mines before he met Alice. Was buried during an accident and lost a lung.
Fined five shillings for having a drink on a Sunday. This later meant that he had a record and was unable to become a JP.
Later in life had a carrying business, carrying wheat, wool and furniture. Had a reputation for reliability.
Had an affair with the woman who first sold Anzac Biscuits and won a 10 shilling prize for the recipe.
Had another child to a different woman, before his wedding, details are unkown. However the woman did meet Alice in Manildra at one time wanting to know what sort of a wife he had married.
