In 1929 Dolly and Phil (Clifton Egbert Joy) moved to Tasmania. After WW1 Dolly and Phil moved to Sydney and Phil became the liscencee of Dind's Hotel in North Sydney. They lived at the Hotel until the death of phil in 1935 at the age of 47.Dolly continued to run the hotel, and eventually sold the liscence when she married for the second time.
Dolly and her second husband, Andrew moved to Bathurst, NSW and purchased a delicatessen and wine bar, in Keppel Street Bathurst. Dolly operated the deli and Andrew ran the wine bar.
No children were born to this couple. Dolly later moved back to Sydney, living in a block called the Seven Seas at kirribilli. Dolly lived here until she moved to a nursing home.
Dolly first moved into a nursing home on the lower North Shore of Sydney. In abt 1989 Dolly was moved at the request of Fred Ritchie- her nephew, to the Endeavour Nursing Home at Kograh. this made is easier for Fred to visit her weekly, it also meant she was housed with her niece marjorie Lawrence. Dolly lived at this nursing home until her death in 1993.
