Jane, William, Newman, Charles, John and Alice surviving him.

Joseph was buried in the Congregational Cemetery at Rookwood on 20 Feb 1890; Undertakers were Boots & Gommeson and the minister attending was the Rev. Jos. Robertson.

The family bible was given to Hannah on the advent of her marriage in 1840, it was given to her by her father, Charles Catley of Bunting Ford, Hammersmith, County London (anecdotal information, Norma Watson). Hannah's father, however is identified on her death certificate as George Cately, a veterinary surgeion. The bible was given to William Watson, when he married Mary Ann Witney/Whitney.
