On 6 Jul 1830 Caleb Salter was granted the liscence for the Kings Head, a Public House on the corner of Argyle Street and Harrington Street. He paid 25 pounds for the house. It is likely that this is the house that Mary Ann Gransden worked in for him, as a servant.

1861 Census has a George Gransden, probably this George born Portsmouth Hampshire. Occupation Coach builder, married to Charlotte. George is noted as 36, head. This may be incorrect, there are no details available for Alverstoke with Emma Gransden and it would fit if she was accidentally put in here when she is part of the other Robert Gransdens family. However Mary Jane's first daughter is named Emma, could this have been after her younger sister.

Death certificate age does not fit christening, but the age given on the census in 1841 for the same person does, so the age on the death certificate is probably incorrect.
