Mr. Albert Gransden, of Snowtown, whose death occurred at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. J, D. Cox, Clement's Gap, was born at South Green, Stockberry, Kent, on September 17, 1856. When 17 years of age he came to South Australia, and worked on farms round Collinsfield and Mundoora. In 1887 he took up land at Port Broughton, and followed Agricultural pursuits for 20 years, in 1906 he gave up farming, and went to England to see his brothers and sisters. On returning to Australia Mr. Gransden settled at Snowtown, where he remained until a fews weeks before his death. He leaves a widow, four sons (Messrs. E. R, D) Gransden, Baroota: A. L. Gransden, Crystal Brook; S. A. Gransden, Clement's Gap; and C. A. Gransden, Maitland), and three daughters (Mrs. T. R. Cox, Crystal Brook; Mrs. J. D. Albert married Louise Lines, daughter of Charles Lines and Sarah Duffield, on 8 Aug 1878 in Redhill Methodist Church, Redhill, SA.526 (Louise Lines was born on 23 Nov 1861 in Bugle Rangers, Mount Barker, SA,336 died on 27 Aug 1937 in Solomontown, Port Pirie, SA, Australia 336 and was buried in Aug 1937 in Christelbrook SA 526.)
