Fetes and Fairs.
The members of the Roman Catholic denomination on Wednesday evening, November 21st held a most successful strawberry fete in the Crystal Brook institute, when the sum of approximately £190 was obtained to augment the funds- of St. Catherine's College at Crystal Brook The function was
declared open in the afternoon by Father O'Rourke of Port Pirie. The institute was gaily arranged with various stalls and there was keen competition in the voting for the most popular stall, the fancy stall with 8739 votes heading the list. £93 was obtained for the voting alone. The competitions were won by: \emdash Mrs. O.A. Gransden, table cover and many others.
