(1) N.S.W.BDM Index Marriage #4327-1904. (2) Obituary....The late Mrs.Phoebe Cole, who passed away on May 7, was the daughter of the late Henry Purcell, of Redbank, Molong. In her younger days she was an accomplished horsewoman. Amongst her proudest possessions were the ribbons which she won in many equestrienne events, which in those days were featured in the sidesaddle. She was an efficient station hand, and for many years was the mainstay in sheep management on the station. Her knowledge of the early hardships on the land was above the average, and she was a tower of strength to her aged father. Forty-six yeats ago she married Mr.Henry David Cole and made her home at Cudal. Her husband was in the employ of the late Caleb Parker well known founder of the general stores in Molong and Cudal. Deceased moved to Stuart Town where her husband conducted a business, before finally settling in Molong. She was a devout and constant worshipper in the Church of England and remembered it and the Hospital in her last testament. Mrs.Cole is survived by her husband and one sister, MrsFred Cole of Sydney.
