William Andrew Ritchie

  General Notes:

Bill Ritchie was educated in the NSW State Schooling system. During his schooling at paddinton he was involved in an accident taht damaged his hip. This never healed properly and later lead to his death.

Bill was an artist and professional musician/ Bill operated a studio about 1903 where he taught art. The studio was situated Elizabeth Street, Sydney.
Bill played 1st Violin with the original Sydney Symphony Orchestra, conductor Verbruggen.

William married Linda Mary Lockwood, daughter of Frederick Nicholas Churcher Lockwood and Emma Atkins, on 17 Oct 1911 in St Johns Church, Paddington, Nsw, Australia.⁷¹ (Linda Mary Lockwood was born on 31 Jan 1889 in Parramatta, NSW, Australia ⁷¹ and died on 19 Dec 1980 in Granville, NSW, Australia ⁷¹.)

  Marriage Notes:

After Bill and Linda seperated Bill returned to Sydney and opened a business known as the Piano Importing Company, which was quite successful.
