Trained as a sign writer, worked as a sign writer in both Sydney and Brisbane before moving to New Zealand. Worked for Patsons (sign writers), Colombo St, Christchurch. Eventually Eddie purchased this company for himslef and carried it on.
This became one of the largest sign writer companies in New Zealand, employing 45 painters and signwriters. During the Second World War Eddies company was responsible for camouflage painting of aircraft hangers and other local defencse structures.
Eddie was a Freemason and was made master of his lodge in 1928.
Eddie worked with the St. johns Ambulance Brigade and also carried on other welfare work.
Lived at 10 Queens Ave, Fedndalton, Christchurch, New Zealand.
Eddie passed away during the funeral service for one of the members of his lodge.
