Robert and Muriel are remembered to have lived at Glenorie, near Cowra, working as farmers. They worked on farms at Cowra and Eugowra, mostly share farming. They also once owned a General Store at Billimari.

Lowered his age so that he could participate in the War, when he did this he also changed his name, so that he would not be found out. He spent most of the war at Tennants Creek in Outback Australia.

Obituary
Mr. R. S. Gransden
The death occured in Orange Base Hospital yesterday of Robert Stanely Gransden, of 56 Prince Street, after a short illness.
Mr Gransden was a resident of Cowra before coming to Orange before World War II. He served in the Army for six years and on his discharge he joined the Orange City Council.
He was with the council for six years an Rogers' for three years before he retired.
He is survived by a widow, six daughters and three sons. Daughters are Mrs. S. Ipsen (Darwin), Mrs R. Burt, Mrs. K. Baker, Mrs. M. Clough and Mrs. J. Jones (all of Orange), and Mrs. G. Carter (Granville).
Sons are Mr. G. Gransden (Eugowra), D. Gransden and K. Gransden (Orange).
The funeral will leave A. McGrath's funeral parlours in Anson Street, at 2.45 p.m. tomorrow, Sunday, for the Holy Trinity Church, then the Church of England portion of the Orange cemetery.

Robert married Muriel Gertrude Bryant, daughter of Walter Harold Bryant and Ella Dorothea Kate Lucas, on 11 Jul 1918 in All Saints Church Canowindra, Boree Shire.²⁰ (Muriel Gertrude Bryant was born on 18 Aug 1899 in Walli, New South Wales, Australia,²³ died on 17 Jul 1991 in Canowindra, New South Wales, Australia ²⁴ and was buried on 22 Jul 1991 in Anglican Cemetery Orange ²².). The cause of her death was Myocardial Infarction 5 days.
