THE Gransden home was one of gaiety over the festive season, the family circle being complete, I understand, for the first time in many years. Len was home for four days, to gether with brother, Reub, his wife and daughters, Barbara and Judith. Also visitors to the Gransden home during Xmas week were Miss J. Auberson and brother Harry. Another happy occasion was when Mrs. Gransden's two sisters journeyed from Orange for the day. Mrs. Spears, of Orange East, was accompanied by Mrs. Madsen and daughters,: Enid and Merl. Little wonder that the- Gransdens were excited at the thought of Christmas and the pleasure that would be afforded them to entertain so many visitors at their residence in Gisborne Street. Now have as their guests, I hear, Mr. C. Seymour and son Frank, who are on holidays. 1949 'Gossip From Joan', Wellington Times (NSW : 1899 - 1954), 17 January, p. 5. , viewed 23 Jan 2018, http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article141343244

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Gransden Celebrate Golden Wedding A very pleasant function was held last Tuesday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. H. Gransden, of 14 Gisborne Street, Wellington, to celebrate the golden anniversary of their wedding. Mr. Henry Gransden married Miss Naomi Grace Seymour at Canowindra on April 26, 1900. The celebration was held on Tuesday, due to it being a holiday. Those who were able to attend the happy gathering of relatives included Mr. and Mrs. T. Gransden, of Eugowra, accompanied by son, Tom (junr.); Mr. and Mrs. Bob Gransden, of Orange; Mrs. W. Thompson and Miss M. Gransden, of Centennial Park, brothers and sisters of Mr. Gransden and Mrs. Madsen, of Auburn (Mrs. Gransden's youngest sister), and her daughter, Merle. Four of the five of Mr. and Mrs. Gransden's children were present, namely, Reuben, Florence, Ella (Mrs. Taplin) and Norman. Len, who is stationed at Alice Springs, was unavoidably absent, as he could not obtain leave. Mr. and Mrs. Gransden were the recipients of many beautiful gifts and numerous congratulatory cards and telegrams, one being as far distant as Perth. During the afternoon, entertainment was provided by Mr. Ted Loder, of Punchbowl, who is at present holidaying in Wellington as the guest of Mr. and Mrs. E. Taplin, of Thornton Street. The toasts, etc., were in the capable hands of Mr. R. Gransden (eldest son), also of Punchbowl, who made the trip especially to be present on such a momentous occasion. During the afternoon the happy couple cut a huge cake, which was beautifully made and suitably decorated by Mrs. Fix this textGough, of Arthur Street. 1950 'Mr. and Mrs. Henry Gransden Celebrate Golden Wedding', Wellington Times (NSW : 1899 - 1954), 1 May, p. 5. , viewed 24 Jan 2018, http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article137758443
