General Notes: 1861- Prior to her marriage to John in 1863, Charlotte Hunt (24 born abt 1837) along with her mother Chrlotte Hun (nee Rowe- age 50 born abt 1811 in Upchurch Kent, England), brother William (1834), and sister Eliza- 20 yo born abt 1841in Sittingbourne, were living in Gillingham, Medway, Kent, England. Charlotte had a daughter born out of wedlock- Jane Hunt 6 yo born in 1855 in Sittingbourn Kent, England. Jane Hunt was recorded as granddaughter of Chrlotte unt (RoweO, the head of the family. then in 1863 after Charlotte married John Gransden, Jane Hunt's name was changed to Jane Gransden. Head of family Charlotte and her two daughters Charlotte and Eliza were tailoresses. The residence was Pembles Buildings, High St Chatham. Charlotte married John Gransden, son of Robert Gransden and Frances Taylor Walker, on 26 Jul 1863 in Chatham, Kent, England.728 (John Gransden was born in 1825 in Frindsbury, Kent, England 728 and died about 1898 in Medway District, County Kent, England 728.) Marriage Notes: The Certified Copy of an entry of marriage obtained from the General Register Office in England confirms the marriage of John Gransden and Charlotte Hunt. The marriage was solemnized at the Parish of St. Paul, Chatham, in the County of Kent, July 26, 1863. The marriage was performed by W.F.L. Nedham, Clerk, B.A. and witnessed by William and Mary Pay.
